Hanuman temple inaugurated in Brahmapur
Bramhapur: A new Hanuman Temple was inaugurated at the city’s age-old Chacha Nehru Gymnasium Centre located in the campus of the Uttareshwar Tempe at Gosani Nuagaon recently. The temple inauguration and idol installation ceremony was organised from July 6 to 8. MlA Ramesh Chandra Chaupatnaik, former Union Minister Chandrasekhar Sahoo, BCC Bank Chairman Alekh Choudhury and journalist Rabi Rath were present. Among others, club chairman Trinath Padhi, Secretary Prafulla Patra, Rajendra Sahu, Janardan Sahu, Santosh Dalai, Manu Das, Arjun Kumar Sahu, Jayram Patra, Sarat Choudhury, Arun Kumar Padhiali, Kamaraju Sahu and Gagarin Nayak coordinated the programme.
9 injured as bus overturns in Sambalpur
Sambalpur: At least nine persons were injured, including one critically, after a bus they were travelling in turned turtle on roadside near the Rairakhol-luhapanka road on NH-55 in Sambalpur district on Monday morning. The accident occurred when the bus en route to Ib Thermal from Bhubaneswar lost control and overturned at around 9 am. As per latest reports, the critically-injured passenger was shifted to the Burla hospital as his condition deteriorated.
TTPS observes Van Mahotsav
Talcher: The Talcher Thermal Power Station (TTPS) conducted Van Mahotsav programme on Saturday. Head of the project MK Singh participated in the function along with other Heads of Departments, principals, teachers and children of various schools located in the area. Saplings were planted by the participants.
