Divya Jiban Sangha holds Sadhana Divas
Brahmapur: The Divya Jiban Sangha held Sadhana Divas here on Sunday under the chairmanship of Bharat Pradhan. Harisharanananda Saraswati Maharaj chanted various mantras and kirtan. Sangha president Prakash Chandra Rath, secretary Kapilendra Panda, treasurer Pradeep Kumar Okar and other members were present. New Sangha members of Municipal Colony Mahila Sangha were selected. Jyosnarani Dash was selected as president, Mamata Mahapatra VP, Sandhyarani Panigrahi secretary, Saraswati Panigrahi and M Sakuntala as joint secretaries, Namita treasurer and Kamal Kumari Panigrahi, Sarda Dash, Rani Padhi, Manjula Sabat and Dr Bina Kumari Sharma as advisors.
B’ngir ex-OFDC DM’s assets confiscated
Cuttack: The Cuttack Special Court Authorised Officer has passed the final order for confiscating the movable and immovable properties to the tune of Rs 7, 42,399 of former Balangir OFDC Kendu leaf Division Divisional Manager (DM) Madan Mohan Parichha. Among the confiscated assets included Rs. 6, 95,438 immovable properties consisting of a double-storied building in Balangir town and movable properties worth Rs 46,961. Earlier on June 4, 1994, the residential house of Parichha at Brahmanapada in Balangir town and his office at Balangir town had been searched simultaneously
NTPC, Kaniha distributes water filters
Talcher: The NTPC, Kaniha under its CSR initiative distributed water filters among villagers of Mankediasahi, Balangi and Kaniha on Friday. The initiative intends to promote the accessibility of safe drinking water among villagers. Company Senior GM AK Das and HR Head MV Rao distributed the water filters to 53 households of the villages. Das said the water filters would help people have clean drinking water, especially during the rainy season.
