legal awareness camp held for labourers
Bargarh: A legal Awareness Camp for labourers was organised by Bargarh District legal Services Authority (DlSA) on Wednesday. DlSA Chairman Subas Chandra Dhala and the invited guests spoke on the right and responsibilities of the construction labourers in the district. More than fifty numbers of labourer were given ID cards. Among others, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Judge Subrat Acharya, District labour Officer Hemanta Kumar and over 200 labourers participated in the camp.
Tata Gopalpur plant starts dispatching Tiscrome
Brahmapur: The Tata Steel has started dispatching Ferro chrome branded as ‘Tata Tiscrome’ from its ferro chrome plant located in the Gopalpur Industrial Park in Ganjam district on June 18. With this, the first green field ferro chrome plant of the Tata Steel achieved a major milestone. Tata Steel vice-presidents Chanakya Chaudhary and Arun Misra flagged of the dispatch. Among others, FAMD EIC MC Thomas, GM (Operations) RR Satpathya, FAMD marketing chief TVS Shenoy and TSSEZ VP Sushanta Mishra were present.
IOCl holds blood donation camp
Paradip: The Indian Oil Corporation limited (IOCl) organised a blood donation camp here at its premises on Wednesday. CISF Commandant Mukesh Kumar inaugurated the camp in the presence of Deputy Commandant Santosh Kumar, Assistant Commandant Subhransu Sekhar Mishra, Paradip Refinery Project HR GM TK Bisoi, refinery hospital Superintendent Dr Arun Kumar Pattnaik and Dr Sabyasachi Acharya. A total of 61 units of blood were collected. Blood Bank Jagatsinghpur district supported the camp. CISF personnel of the Paradip Port Trust and Paradip Refinery Project also donated blood.
