Dharmendra attends Raghunath Murmu Jayanti
Baripada: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday attended Pandit Raghunath Murmu’s 114th birth anniversary celebrations here.. Santhals, dressed in their traditional tribal attires, welcomed Pradhan, after which he spoke in praise of the legendary Santhal leader. Pradhan was accompanied by a host of senior BJP leaders of north Odisha.
Manav Adhikar Ghanta Yatra in 40th phase
Brahmapur: The Manav Adhikar Suraksha Manch’s Ghanta Yatra (cymbal beating rally) demanding solution of the problems of the City Hospital reached its 40th phase here on Monday. The Manch’s demands included no opportunities to private firms for doing business like OTTE in the hospital premises, making sunstroke department operational, providing all 570 categories of medicines in the Niramaya store, installing CT scans and a digital X-Ray machine and filling up doctors’ posts in tuberculosis department. A memorandum was submitted to the CDMO in the matter. Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya, secretary Maguna Nahak, Bansidhar Bhuyan, Trinath Maharana, Gauri Shankar Mohanty, Dwarikanath Ghadei, Rajendra Dala Behera, Parsuram Sahu, Pratap Sadangi and S Surjya Narayana were present.
