Contractual staff demand 7th Pay panel scale
Bhubaneswar: Members of the Odisha Government Contractual Employees’ Association are an aggrieved lot over nonpayment of salary as per the Seventh Pay Commission report. They held a ‘Garjan Samabesh’ here on Thursday. The association demanded that the State Government abolish the Contractual Appointment Rules, 2013 and Rule 14. It was decided that legal action would be taken against such appointment. The association hoped that the Government would hold discussions with their association over their grievance.
U Sammilani holds Baishnab Pani birth anniv Bhubaneswar:
The Utkal Sammilani celebrated 135th birth anniversary of Ganakabi Baishnab Pani with its members garlanding his statute in the Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya premises here on Thursday. Sammilani’s Mancheswar branch president Dillip Dashsharma presided over the function. Among others, vice-president Sital Chandra Mohanty, secretary Govind Chandra Subudhi and members Shiv Prasad Mishra, Niranjan Patra, Akshaya Kumar Jethi and Ajay Kumar Kanungo were present.
