Bhubaneswar: Honeybees may spoil the inaugural ceremony of the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships at the Kalinga Stadium here on July 5. Only a day between the inaugural ceremonies it was found that a big swarm of bees present in the Block-A galleries. The block-A is reserved for VVIP’s and 45 countries athletes. If any untoward incident happens the players as well as the VVIP’s will face the anguish of the bees. The Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik will also present in the same gallery in the time of inauguration. The swarm is present just above the players reserved chair. A minor bite of Bees will spoil the career of athletes. Huge swarm of bees is always present at the Kalinga stadium, many a times bees use to disturb the regular practice schedule of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel inmates for some time in a regular basis. There are honeycombs in the stadium premises, hanging from the roofs of spectators' galleries, water tanks or on trees. Removing the honeycombs is not an easy task and only a few people having the skill are available in the State.

Most shocking incident was that so many officials are visiting the Kalinga Stadium every minute, but the bees are escaping from the bulls eyes of the smart officials.
