U Sammilani welcomes Asian Athletics participants
Bhubaneswar: The Utkal Sammilani has welcomed and wished all success to the participants of the 22nd Asian Athletic Championships to be held here from July 5. Sammilani local president Dillip Dashsharma said, “We welcome all the players and their officials to Odisha, land of Utkal.” The Sammilani expressed its gratitude to the State Government for organising this big event within a few days and also thanked the officials involved in the event. The Sammilani hoped the event would bring laurels to the State.
Morning Walkers’ Assn souvenir released
Bhubaneswar: The Forest Park Morning Walkers’ Welfare Association souvenir Sabuja Sakhala was unveiled near the Biju Patnaik statue at the Forest Park here on Sunday. Association president Durga Charan Das presided over the function. Chief guest Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan praised the souvenir and assured the association for development of the park with latest equipments for the gym. Urban Development Secretary G Mathivathanan and Rural Development Secretary Bishnupada Sethi also spoke. Among others, association secretary Prasant Kumar Parida, assistant secretary Mamata Samantray and vice-president K Kar were present.
