Youth’s body found at Paradip temple premises
Jagatsinghpur: The Paradip police recovered a youth’s dead body from a Hanuman temple premises in Udayabata area on the outskirts of Paradip on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Nitai Mandal, a resident of the locality. Some locals noticed his body lying on the temple premises during the wee hours and informed the police. While the cause of the death is yet to be ascertained, the police have started investigation after registering an unnatural death case in this connection.
Biju death anniversary observed in JSpur
Jagatsinghpur: The death anniversary of Biju Patnaik was observed by the BJD at a function here on Sunday. BJD district president Bishnu Das chaired the meeting, which was attended by MlA and District Planning Board President Prasanta Muduli, ZP President DD Mohanty and Block Chairman Prasanna Swain, among others. They said Jagatsinghpur district is the contribution of Bijubabu, who is also the founder of the Paradip Port. Hence, the district would remember him forever. BJD leaders Dipti Das, Raj Kishor Khatua, Kanaka lenka, Amerendra Das and Elina Das were also present.
