Two unidentified miscreants snatched away a motorcycle, a mobile and `3,000 from a businessman at gunpoint at Karadapalli villager under Jagannath Prasad block in Ganjam district on Thursday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Kahnu Sahu, a business man of Jagannath Prasad. The incident took place when Sahu was on his way to Manitara for a business purpose.
The two were following him and taking advantage of loneliness, intercepted him at Nadiaghaee. They brandished a gun on his forehead and snatched away the above things from him. Acting on Kahnu Sahu’s complaint, police have started investigation, sources said.
In an earlier case, dreaded looter Kuna Behera alias Kuna surrendered before the SDJM Court here on the day. He was sent to jail custody after his bail plea was rejected.
Kuna along with his associates had attacked one Tofani Gouda at his residence at Chancharapalli village under the Sadar police station on February 3. later the police managed to arrest one Nabin Nayak while four others are still absconding.
Kuna had earlier been arrested and sent to jail several times in several dacoit and criminal cases, sources said.
