Nalco Mahila Samiti celebrates R-Day in noble way
Bhubaneswar: The Nalco Mahila Samiti celebrated the Republic Day in a different way. Its members led by president Preeti Roy visited an orphanage, Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, at Khandagiri. Roy handed over grocery items like rice, pulses, beaten rice, sugar and biscuits for the inmates to ashram secretary Prafulla Senapati in the presence of Samiti secretary Trupti Dash, treasurer Smita Mishra and joint secretary Namita Sahoo. Children also got prizes for participating in a patriotic songs competition.
Republic Day celebrated at VSS Nagar
Bhubaneswar: The Veera Surendra Sai Nagar Unayan Parishad celebrated the 67th Republic Day at the AE Colony here on Tuesday. Senior member of the Parishad Uma Ballav Mishra hoisted the National Flag in the presence of its general secretary Dillip Dashsharma. Durga Puja Samiti general secretary Girija Prasad Mohanty, Ramachandra Samal, Utkal Kumar Panigrahi and Trilochan Rath were present, among others.
Republic Day celebrated by IIT Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: The IIT Bhubaneswar celebrated the 67th Republic Day at its campus at Argul on Tuesday. Institute Director Prof RV Raja Kumar hoisted the National Flag. Cultural programmes were also held on the occasion by students. The Director inspired the students to be good entrepreneurs.
DAVians celebrate Republic Day
Bhubaneswar: The Republic Day was celebrated at the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur here with a spectacular march-past and cultural shows. Principal-cum-Regional Director Dr KC Satapathy hoisted the Tricolour and appealed to the students and staff to be more duty-bound and committed for national cause. A flower exhibition was also held by the Eco Club of the school.
R-Day celebration held at ICAI
Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Branch of EIRC of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India celebrated the Republic Day. Branch chairman Sanjay Kumar Agrawalla hoisted the National Flag. He said the global economy is showing sign of turmoil due to Chinese economic crisis. This has impacted all the major economies in the world including India. Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Government of India has taken various steps to put India on fast economic growth track.

Bhubaneswar: The Mother’s Public School celebrated the Republic Day with much patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The National Flag was hoisted by chief guest litterateur Satakodi Hota.
