SP seeks 27% SEBC quota in cop recruitment
Bhubaneswar: The Samajwadi Party on Saturday urged upon DG of Police KB Singh to reserve 27 per cent posts for the backward classes in constable recruitments. Samajwadi Party State president Rabi Behera in a letter to the DGP mentioned that the reserved posts would be 1,350 out of 5,000 posts.
400 blood units collected at BPUT students’ camp
Bhubaneswar: Under a Jiban-Bindu programme, around 400 units of blood were collected at a camp held at the BJD office here on Sunday. The All Odisha BPUT Students’ Organisation (AOBSO) held the programme. law and Panchayati Raj Minister Arun Sahoo inaugurated the event in the presence of Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Panda, MlAs Bijay Mohanty, Priyadarshi Mishra, Rajashri Mallick and Byomkesh Ray and BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena. AOBSO vice-president Amresh Patri and coordinator Ashwini Kumar Sahoo conducted the programme.
