Guv stresses on massive plantations
Bhubaneswar: Plantation drives should be undertaken in a massive way in view of the ever-increasing population, industries and vehicles, said Governor SC Jamir inaugurating a World Environment Day event. The function was organised by Prerana and presided over by its president Dr Dillip Srichandan. Biswamohan Pattanaik was felicitated with the Green Man of the Year award for planting over 20,000 trees. The award, which carries Rs1 lakh cash award, would be given to an environment lover every year.
