K’mal man gets lifer in rape, murder case
Phulbani: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajendra Kumar Tosh awarded life imprisonment to one Bhabindra Dehuri of Baikumpa under Khajuripada police station in Kandhamal district for raping a minor girl and killing her father. The Judge also imposed a fine of Rs 32,000, defaulting which he would undergo two months’ more jail term. Dehuri had raped the girl on March 28, 2013. As the accused was staying at his sister's home at Boida, the victim’s parents went there to complain. later, Dehuri assaulted the girl’s father Bachiman Podho following which he died on the spot.
