SAT Bar to hold lawyers’ Day
Bhubaneswar: The State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) Bar Association would celebrate the lawyers’ Day on the occasion of 167th birth anniversary of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das at Bar Association Hall in the premises of the Tribunal Building here on Tuesday. law Minister Arun Sahoo would attend the occasion as chief guest, while Odisha High Court Judge Justice Dr Durga Prassana Choudhury would attend as guest of honour. Among others, Justice AS Naidu, SAT Acting Chairman Bijay Kumar Dash and SAT Bar Association president Satya Narayan Dash would attend the ceremony.
SNSMT to help Nepal uake victims
Bhubaneswar: A group of ten people from the Smt Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust would go to Nepal for providing relief materials to the earthquake victims. The basic expenses incurred by the volunteers for rendering services would be met by the trust, said a release issued by the trust. The trust has also called for monetary donations for the cause which would only be accepted via bank transfer/DD. More details can be sorted by emailing at info@snsmt.org. For donations paid to SNSMT the donor is exempted from income tax as per Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
Sammilani holds Krushna Ch Gajapati jayanti
Bhubaneswar: The Utkal Sammilani observed the birth anniversary of its former president and Paralakhemundi Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Narayan Dev here on Sunday. At a garlanding function, Sammilani State general secretary Dr Adweita Kumar Patra, Bhubaneswar branch president Bibhuti Mishra and Mancheswar Industrial Estate branch head Dillip Dashsharma jointly garlanded Maharaja’s statue at AG Square here. later, Sammilani members including Dr Gopal Krushna Srichandan, Siba Prasad Mishra and Bibhuti Bhusan Swain paid floral tribute to the statue.
Health camp held at Vivekananda Kendra
Bhubaneswar: The Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra here in association with city-based voluntary organisations Swarga and Samarpan organised a health checkup camp for its students at the school premises on Saturday. The camp was inaugurated by Samarpan president Golakh Mohapatra. Former Nalco CMD Chittaranjan Pradhan was present as guest of honour. All students of the school got their health checked up. Swarga secretary Anjan Debata and school president Karunakar Mohanty and principal Kabita Kar were present.
Hearing test camp for cops held
Bhubaneswar: The Rahyals Hearing Solutions in association with Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Traffic Police Traffic organised a free hearing test camp for its personnel at its office. Traffic DCP MN Bahidar and ACP Jatin Panda, Rahyals business head (East) Prasanta Kumar Sahu were present on the occasion.
