Statues of Gopabandhu, Madhubabu unveiled
Jajpur: Dharmasala MlA Pranab balabantaray on Wednesday unveiled statutes of Utkalmani Gopandhu Das and Utakal Gourab Madhusudan Das at Dharmasala Banipitha in Jajpur district. The MlA said Madhubabu was a great patriot and he made lasting contribution towards formation of modern Odisha. As chief guest, printer and publisher Niranjan Rath said Madhubabu sacrificed everything to build Odisha and bring prosperity to its people.
Cold water distribution stall inaugurated
Jajpur: A cold water distribution stall was inaugurated at Ramachandrapur under Bari block in Jajpur district on Wednesday. Bari youth leader Biswaranjan Mallick inaugurated the facility and urged local people to conserve water. Among others, panchayat samiti members Abhimanyu Dhal, Nila Dash, Ankura Mallick, Kangali Mallick and Anirudha Sahani were present. More than 400 persons will be benefited from the facility every day.
New Jharsuguda ADM takes charge
Jharsuguda: Rajendra Mishra assumed office as the Additional District Magistrate of Jharsuguda district on Wednesday. He replaced BG Acharya, who has been posted as PD, DRDA at Jajpur. Mishra had earlier served as General Manager, OCAC, in Bhubaneswar.
