DAVians celebrate Odia language Day
Bhubaneswar: The Classical Odia language Day was observed at the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur here on Wednesday. A mass rendition of Bande Utkala Janani and enlightening speeches by teachers highlighting the importance of mother tongue marked the occasion.
Crèche opened at Rail Sadan
Bhubaneswar: ‘Happy Hearts’, a crèche with all modern facilities and child-friendly ambience was inaugurated at the Rail Sadan here on Monday. The crèche aims at benefiting working women of railway families. East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO) President Shalini Vishnoi inaugurated the facility that has been set up under the aegis of the Central Staff Benefit Fund. ECoR Chief Personnel Officer Manju Ray coordinated the event.
IDA holds oral health awareness drive
Bhubaneswar: The Indian Dental Association (IDA), State and Temple City branches in association with the Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) organised oral health awareness programmes at seven different schools here on the occasion of the Dentist Day on Friday. Oral health talks and interactive sessions with students and teacher were held on the occasion. They were made aware of the ways to maintain proper oral hygiene.
