Justice Pujahari sworn in as permanent judge
Cuttack: Justice Shatrughna Pujahari, who was an Additional Judge of the Odisha High Court since November 29 last year, was on Friday sworn in as a permanent judge of the High Court. Chief Justice Amitava Roy administered the oath of office to Justice Pujahari in the High Court.
Nalco donates self-employment kits to PWDs
Bhubaneswar: As a noble gesture, the National Aluminium Company ltd (Nalco), donated self-employment tool kits to persons with disabilities (PWDs) through the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped (VRCH), Bhubaneswar. Nalco Director (HR) SC Padhy and Executive Director (H&A) AK Sahu handed over interlocking zigzag machines as part of the self-employment tool kits at the Career Counselling & Job Fair organised at the VRCH.
Scribe Niradhar Panda passes away
Cuttack: Noted social activist and journalist Niradhar Panda passed away at the Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital here on Wednesday night. His last rites were performed on the banks of river Mahanadi. Niradhar, who was 49, is survived by his wife and a daughter. Niradhar, also known as Ruba, had his journalism career for over 20 years. Born in Jagatpur in 1965, Niradhar was the president of Cuttack Gramanchal Sambadika Sangh and working-president of PMI Odisha Chapter.
