Allahabad Bank ED to visit State tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: Allahabad Bank Executive Director JK Singh Kharb will pay a two-day visit to the city on Friday and Saturday. During his visit, he along with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Regional Director PK Jena will flag off Green Walk, an environment awareness initiative of the bank and a programme ‘Allahabad Bank- A Journey Through 150 Years’ to be held here. RBI Deputy Governor HR Khan and Odisha Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, UN Behera will attend the programme. Besides, three branches in Baleswar, Jajpur and Cuttack districts and a semi-urban branch at Boudh will be inaugurated.
BoB launches 8 FI branches in State
Bhubaneswar: The Bank of Baroda (BoB) has opened eight FI branches, six in Nayagarh and two in Balangir districts, to cater to the needs of villagers in the unbanked areas. The facilities were e-launched by Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati and the bank’s DGM and Regional head AK Grover. The Chief Secretary spoke on the role of banks in financial inclusion to uplift people residing in unbanked areas.
