State Sepak Takraw meet from Oct 12
Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Sepak Takraw Association (BSTA) is all set host two-day-long Senior State Sepak Takraw Championship Men and Women at Kalinga Stadium from October 11. BSTA formed a organising committee in a meeting on September 13 for the successfully conducting the state championship. The state men and women team to be selected from the meet for the forthcoming 25th Senior National Sepak Takraw Championship which will be held at Rohil Khand University , Bareli in Uttar Pradesh from October 29 to November 2.
Odisha beat Assam in Vinoo Mankad cricket
Bhubaneswar: After defeat from Bengal, Odisha registered a convincing 125 runs victory against Assam in the one day match of the U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy East Zone league on Tuesday. Winning the toss, Odisha elected to bat first, after early set back Odisha straggle at 38 runs by losing three wickets. Opener Rajesh Dhuper and Sandeep Patnaik scored 52 and 54 runs respectively and helped the team to reach 253 runs by losing eight wickets. In reply, Rajkishan Patel and Subham Nayak of Odisha scalped three wickets each and restricted Assam innings for 128 runs in 42.3 overs.
