Old man dies in house collapse in J’pore
Jeypore: A 75-year-old man, Amulya Kumar Panda, in Panjiyaguda gram panchayat under Jeypore block died on Monday as his house collapsed due to the incessant rainfall. Panda was lifting water from his well when the roof of the house near the well gave in suddenly. The fire brigade personnel rescued him and took him to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
8-yr-old child drowns in pond in K’pada
Kendrapada: An eight-year-old child, Amar Tadu, of Mahisasura village under the Rajnagar police limits drowned on Tuesday while he was washing off his body in a nearby village pond after defecating. later, some fire brigade personnel recovered the child and sent him to the Rajnagar CHC, where he was declared received dead. MATOA office-bearers’ election in September
