Odisha Police, Sunrise win in FAO Football league
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police and Sunrise Club defeated Sunshine Club and Rising Student Club respectively by 2-0 goals each in the FAO Football league at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Hrusikesh Behera of Odisha Police draw the first blood in the second minute of the play and his-mate Ed Ehesan Khan double the lead in the 24th minute and powered the team to beat Sunshine Club by 2-0 goals. In another match of the day, after the barren first half, Sunrise Club got the lead in the 49th minute through the goal by Wasu Hassan. Bharat Munda scored a goal in the 84th minute and Sunrise Club edged out Rising Student Club by 2-0 goals. The officials who conducted the matches were Bhanu Bauri, Subrat Purohit, Ratnakar Barik, Bhim Kumar Chhetri, Chandrakant Barik and Jiban Jyoti Nayak as referees. Radha Gobinda Club and Chand Club would meet Young Utkal Club and Morning Club respectively on Friday.
