Bhaskar Rao Planning Board Dy Chairman
Bhubaneswar: N Bhaskar Rao was on Thursday appointed the Deputy Chairman of the Odisha State Planning Board. The post was lying vacant since Surendra Nath Nayak’s resignation. Rao was earlier Chairman of the Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC).
Actress Rally to tie the knot on July 2
Dhenkanal: Well-known Odia cinema actress Rally Nanda will tie the knot with Prasanta Panda, a bank manager of Nayagarh district, on July 2. The marriage will be held at Ganesh Bazaar here. The ring ceremony of the couple was held here on May 2. Initially an Odishi dancer, Rally, daughter of Purusotam and Manoj Manjari Nanda of Dhenkanal, made her entry into the Odia film industry with her debut movie Kalinga Putra in a lead role.
Axis Bank donates umbrellas to traffic police
Bhubaneswar: The Axis Bank donated 100 umbrellas to the Twin City traffic police department for protection from heat and rain. The umbrellas were handed over by Axis Bank vice-president and cluster head Biplabi Pattnaik to Commissioner of Police Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma at a simple ceremony at the CP Headquarters here. Traffic police constables were presented with the umbrellas.
