Haven’t resigned, says JB
Bhubaneswar: Assam Governor and former Odisha Chief Minister JB Patnaik on Tuesday said the reports that he had resigned from his post are baseless. Talking to an Odia TV channel, Patnaik said that he had met the President of India to discuss certain issues relating to Assam. “All reports that I have resigned or have been asked to resign have no basis whatsoever,” he said. Patnaik’s term as the Governor of Assam expires in December this year.
Sarat Rout new PCC media cell chief
Bhubaneswar: Pradesh Congress Committee president Jayadev Jena on Tuesday appointed senior leader Sarat Rout as the party media cell chairman-in-charge on the approval of All India Congress Committee secretary and party’s Odisha in-charge BK Hariprasad. The post was vacant after Narasingha Mishra was elected as leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly.
