Paradip lawyers’ body observes Madhu Jayanti
Paradip: The Paradip lawyers’ Association observed the birth anniversary of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das near Atharabanki on the outskirts of Paradip on Monday. Paradip Port Trust trustee Dr Kulamani Samal attended the meeting, presided over by lawyers’ association president Suresh Das. The guests spoke on the life, philosophy and contributions of Madhubabu in formation of the separate Odisha State based on language. Among others, former Zilla Parishad president Sabita Mohapatra and BJD Paradip president Sumanta Biswal were present.
Vishuva Sahitya Asar held at Paradip
Paradip: The Monalisha Sahitya Samsad organised a Vishuva Sahitya Asar here on Monday. At the outset, participants paid homage to Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das on his birth anniversary. Odia Department HoD of the Paradip College Subash Chandra Biswal presided over the event while poet Pitambar Tarai attended it as the chief guest. Tarai spoke on the contribution of Odia writers to the modern poetry. Besides, retired teacher and noted writer Sukanti Mohanty was honoured on the occasion. Samsad secretary Sanghamitra Swain gave the welcome address while a vote of thanks was offered by Prasant Rout.
