CSpur DAVians celebrate Madhu Jayanti
Bhubaneswar: The DAVians of Chandrasekharpur paid rich tributes to Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das on his birth anniversary which was observed as the Swabhiman Divas throughout the State on Monday. The Integrity Club of the school arranged various programmes including patriotic speeches, Speeches were delivered by students dressed in Madhubabu’s attire. They also rendered poems penned by the great son of the soil. More than 3,000 students took the pledge for the day.
SBH Staff Association holds seminar
Bhubaneswar: The State Bank of Hyderabad Staff Association (SBHSA) organised a seminar here on the ‘Economic reforms and its impact on public sector banking with special reference to privatisation and NPA’. The seminar was graced by former JNU Professor and former Planning Board of India Vice-Chairman Prabhat Patnaik. SBHSA general secretary Jagdish M Bhavthankar, AICTU general secretary Souribandhu Kar, AOBEA general secretary Praffulla Kumar Tripathy and SBHSA president A Koteswar Rao were present in the programme.
Blood donation camp in city on May 1
Bhubaneswar: In an attempt to ensure no causalities due to lack of blood, city-based a software company Business Intelligence Professional Pvt ltd is all set to organise a voluntary blood donation camp here on May 1 on the occasion of the International labour Day. Around 40 engineers of the company would donate blood at the camp. The organisers have urged people from different walks of life to donate blood at the camp. Programme coordinator Susant Kumar Sahoo informed this in a Press release on Monday.
Ajanta Circus show in city today
Bhubaneswar: Ajanta Circus of Kolkata has come to Bhubaneswar to showcase its brilliant performances on Tuesday. This time, it has come up with a number of new exciting events where participants from eight foreign countries like Vietnam, Russia, Ethiopia and Mexico will be performing their extraordinary acts along with Indian performers.
