Autopsy confirms suicide in Biridi
Jagatsinghpur: The suicide case of a woman by hanging self after hanging her two children in Sadhei Sasan village under Biridi block on November 9 was confirmed by the postmortem reports on Monday.
Meanwhile, the deceased Maheswata Barik’s father has lodged an FIR at Biridi police station alleging that his daughter has been murdered by her in-laws for dowry. “Police have started investigation into the circumstances that led the woman to take the drastic step,” said Biridi PS IIC Dilip Kumar Swain.
Fisherman drowns in Paradip sea
Jagatsinghpur: A fisherman of Jhimani village slipped off his boat and drowned off the Paradip shore while fishing in the sea on Monday. As Babaji Sethi went missing on Sunday while fishing, the police launched a search to trace him but in vain. later, Sethi’s body was found floating on seawater and was recovered.
