New B’pur Family Court Judge takes over
Brahmapur: Debajani Das joined as the Judge of the Family Court here on Wednesday. The post was lying vacant for about a month consequent upon the superannuation of her predecessor BN Mishra from service.
JSPl donates `9l to improve healthcare
Angul: Jindal Steel & Power ltd (JSPl) has contributed Rs 9 lakh to the Angul District Red Cross Society for strengthening healthcare in Chhendipada block. The cheque was presented to CDMO Dr Chittaranjan Nayak by JSPl Vice-President Dr Suresh Chandra Padhi in the presence of company AGM (CSR) Puspalata Satapathy and Angul NRHM DPM Chakradhar Jena. The fund would be utilised for engagement of a doctor in Chhendipada CHC and to supplement the support for running the mobile medical unit in Chhendipada for one year. JSPl MD Subrat Ratho said, “We are happy to support the district administration for various sustainable social initiatives.”
Damanjodi CISF personnel donate blood
Damanjodi: Nalco CISF unit of Damanjodi organised a blood donation camp at the Family Welfare Centre at Suraksha Vihar here under the leadership of CISF Senior Commandant Zhoponeyi Zuo with the help of the Chief District Medical Officer. As many as 60 CISF personnel donated blood. SVM teacher Naresh Sahu, district blood donor motivation forum official, extended his support to the event. A team from the Koraput District Hospital led by Dr V Krishna conducted the camp. CISF Deputy Commandant NK Singh, Assistant Commandant SS Shekhawat and Inspectors Ranjeet Singh and RS Padiyar motivated unit personnel for blood donation.
