Radha Gobind beat Kishor in FAO league
Bhubaneswar: Radha Gobind Club hammered Kishor Club by 5-1 goals in the group-A league match in the FAO 1st Division Football league at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Wednesday. Rufus Mulu and Hirojit Singh of the Radha Gobind scored double goals each. Rufus started the party in the 17th minute and his-mate Hirojit doubled the lead in the 25th minute. Before the end of the first half, Rufus was stocked again in the 35th minute. After the lemon breaks, Ambika lakra netted a goal in the 65th minute and extended the lead 4-0. In the 78th minute Hirojit scored his second individual goal and Radha Gobind dominated the show by 5-0 goals. In the end of the season Barial Hembram of the Kishor Club netted a goal in the 81st minute just to reduce the winning margin.
OCA to host Ind-Aus ODI on October 26
Bhubaneswar: BCCI has been allotted a one-day international match of the India-Australia series to be host by Odisha Cricket Association at Barabati Stadium, informed OCA secretary Asirbad Behera through a release on Wednesday. The OCA has been allotted the 5th ODI day and night match to be held on October 26th. In regard to the match OCA council committee meeting would be held on the end of June to discus the budget and preparatory work. Earlier this year, OCA successfully hosted the Group-B matches of the ICC Women's World Cup, involving Pakistan, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand at Barabati Stadium here and Driems Ground in Tangi (20kms from here.
