Dhenkanal beat Malkangiri in U-14 Cricket
Bhubaneswar: A-six-wickets haul by Anwesh Das of Dhenkanal guided the team to beat Malkangiri by nine wickets in a low-scoring league latch of the OCA Inter-Districts U-14 Cricket Tournament at Nimpur Ground in Cuttack on Tuesday. In other matches of the day, Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bolangir and Angul defeated Puri, Paradip, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Sonepur by 28 runs, nine wickets, four runs, seven wickets and five wickets respectively. Out-standing bowling performance of the day, Ganesh Mallick of Puri and Sukesh Heera of Nabarangpur claimed five wickets each. Sanjay Samal, Satya Narayan Das both of Mayurbhanj, Subham Pattnaik of Nabarangapur, Adarsh Agarwal and Bikash Kumar Pradhan of Sonepur bagged four wickets each.

Dhauli beat Baitarani in OPl-II
Bhubaneswar: Unbeaten half-century knock of Rakesh Mohanty helped the Dhauli to defeat Baitarani and topped the group-A point table with 10 points out of six matches in the Odisha Premier league-II at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Tuesday. Dhauli registered five win and one defeat in six league matches. Winning the toss, Baitarani elected to bat first, Dhiraj Singh scalped four wickets for 19 runs and restricted Baitarani innings for 119 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. In reply, Rakesh smashed unbeaten 57 runs and stitched 75 runs for the fourth wicket with Rupam Pradhan who contributed 23 runs. The brilliant partnership helped the Dhauli to reach the winning target for the loss of four wickets in 19.2 overs. Rakesh of the winning team bagged the man of the match award.
