Chilika, Dhauli beat Konark, Subarnarekha in OPl-II
Bhubaneswar: Chilika, Dhauli beat Konark, Subarnarekha by three and seven wickets at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack and VSS Stadium in Sambalpur respectively in the league round match of the Odisha Premier league-II on Monday. The brilliant centurion third wicket partnership between Anurag Sarangi and Subhranshu Senapati of Chilika powered the team beat Konark by seven wickets. Batting first, Tukuna Sahu of Konark scored 61 runs and team total reached a healthy 145 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Aravinda Singh of Chilika claimed three wickets for 28 runs. In reply, Subranshu smashed an unbeaten 53 runs and well supported by Anurag Sarangi contributed 65 runs and the team reached the winning target for the loss of three wickets. In another match at Barabati Stadium winning the toss Subarnarekha elected to bat first and scored 146 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the healthy target, all-rounder Bibhu Dutta Panda smashed an unbeaten 35 runs and the team reached the target for the loss of seven wickets in 19.5 overs. Bibhu Dutta of the winning team bagged the man of the match award.

Md Sahid shines in U-14 cricket
Bhubaneswar: The most successful bowler of the day Md Sahid Amir of Sudargarh claimed seven wickets for nine runs and the guided the team to defeat Jajpur by 10 runs in the league match of the OCA Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Nimpur Ground in Cuttack on Monday.
Apart from Sahid five bowlers bagged five and more wickets. Prakash Swain of Jagasinghpur bagged six wickets for 22 and Aman Prasad of Jharsuguda grabbed five wickets for 14 runs and powered the team to beat Bolangir and Dhenkanal by 43 and 93 runs respectively.
However, Sanjay Samal of Mayurbhanj and Suresh Prakash Yadev of Jajpur took six wickets each and Sunil Singh of Angul claimed five wickets but their respective team suffered defeat.
