Two youths were arrested on Sunday on the charge of outraging the modesty of a college girl on Saturday at village Khira under the Barchana police station in Jajpur district.
The youths were identified as Pikuna Dalei (19) and lucky Dalei (18) of Khaira village. They molested the girl in broad daynight while she was returning to her village on Saturday afternoon after attending classes in the college.
The girl filed an FIR at the Barchana police station on Saturday alleging that she was molested by the two youths, following which the police arrested them on Sunday, said Barchana PS IIC Umakanta Nayak.
The youths were booked under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354 (A) (sexual harassment), 294 (using obscene language) and 506 (criminal intimidation), added the police officer.
