Though Priyanka Kudei (10) of Kutenpali under Bheden block limits in Bargarh district was kidnapped since July 21, 2014, the police are yet to rescue her and arrest the kidnappers.
Priyanka is a student of Class V at Bheden Aurobinda School. She was kidnapped while on her way home after tuition. Her parents lodged an FIR with the police as she did not reach home and after a frantic search for her did not yield any result.
The Crime Branch also had started on investigation in the case and announced to give Rs 50,000 as prize to the informer of the kidnappers. On April 29, 2015, the bicycle of Priyanka was recovered at a dry pond near her house.
Meanwhile, in the last two years, three SPs and three SIs of police of Bheden have been transferred, but Priyanka still remains untraced. The parents of the victim girl approached new Bargarh SP B Jugal Kishor and sought his assistance in the matter. The SP has assured to rescue the child very soon.
