Dead bodies of two women were found near the lingaraj Temple Road railway station on the outskirts of the city on Sunday morning.
According to reports, locals spotted the bodies near the railway tracks in the wee hours. The deceased were identified as Nalini Pradhan and Namita Behera.
Sources said Nalini is wife of Sivaram Pradhan and Namita is wife of Krushna Behera. The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem.
Though police are yet to ascertain the circumstances under which the duo died, they have begun an investigation into the incident.
