+2 valuation hit as many teachers yet to join

Evaluation of Plus Two answer-sheets has once again been disrupted as many of private college lecturers are yet to report at the evaluation centres.

This was known from an official letter issued to Centre Supervisors by the Controller of Examinations of the CHSE on Friday.

“It has come to the notice of the council that some examiners have not reported at the Valuation Zones, including e-valuation centres, affecting progress of valuation. All Zone Supervisors are requested to report the name of such examiners, with reasons thereof if available, for onward transmission of tier names to the Government. The names of those examiners who joined initially but subsequently left are also to be reported in a separate list,” the letter mentioned.

Notably, the CHSE had scheduled the first phase valuation from April 4 to 13. But the valuation could not be held for six days as the teachers of 488 and 662 categories of non-Government and private colleges boycotted the evaluation work and went on an indefinite strike demanding abolition of the Block Grant system.

After the Government committed to hold a meeting to take a very positive decision regarding their demands, the agitating teachers joined the evaluation work on April 10. However, some of them have not joined duty yet.
