Two new courts, Additional Sub-Judge Court-2 and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, were inaugurated by Orissa High Court judge Justice Bijaya Kumar Nayak at the Brahmapur District Court premises here on Friday.
Kamalakanta Nayak has taken charge as Judge of Additional Sub-Judge Court-2 and Saroj Kumar Das as Judge of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
A total of 120 cases were transferred to the Additional Sub-Judge Court-2 from the Sub-Judge Court and 180 cases were transferred to the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
During the occasion, a plantation drive was also held. Among others, Ganjam District Judge Malaya Ranjan Dash and Registrar Dilip Biswal, Brahmapur SP Asish Singh and Brahmapur Sub-Collector Sidhartha Sankar Swain were present.
