The Cuttack Rural police on Thursday arrested two more persons in connection with the murder of BJP leader Kulamani Baral and his associate Dibyasingh Baral in Mahanga.
The two arrested were Chaitanya Sethi, younger brother of prime accused Panchanan Sethi, and Umesh Khatua. While Chaitanya was arrested from Nuapatna in Cuttack city, Umesh was apprehended from the Rajgangpur bus-stand in Sundargarh district. With this, the number of arrests in the double case mounted to seven. Police had earlier apprehended Panchanan Sethi, Arabinda Khatua, Khitish Acharya, Lalit Mohan Baral and Kailash Khatua.
The accused have been booked under Sections 147, 148, 120-B, 302, 149 of IPC, and Sections 27 and 27 of Arms Act.Prime accused Panchanan Sethi, while being taken to court on Wednesday.
