Troubles for arrested former Brahmapur Mayor Siva Shankar Dash alias Pintu mounted further as two more cases were registered against him at the Town police station here on Tuesday. While one case brought land fraud charge, another accused Siva Shankar of threatening eyewitnesses. Siva Sankar has been arrested in connection with three cases.
The first complaint lodged by Prasant Kumar Sahu of Haladiapadar village alleged that Siva Shankar and his father Khalli Dash had taken Sahu’s 2.7 acres land into his possession by virtue of a false land patta in 2010. He too alleged that Siva Shankar and his men had threatened him for life showing guns. Similarly, the second complaint was filed by one Aditya Sahu. He alleged that his brother laxmi Sahu had been murdered in the year 2009 for which a case is pending at a court. But on March 9, 2016, Pintu along with some of his aides showed him a gun threatening not to be an eyewitness in the murder case. “We have registered a case against Pintu Dash and his aides on the complaint of Aditya Sahu and started investigation,” said Town PS IIC Nihar Pradhan.
