A dead body of an unidentified person aged about 30 was found in the sea beach of Kamatiapahi in the Inchudi area. The Khantapara police after seizing the body sent it for postmortem and began an investigation to ascertain the deceased’s identity and the reasons of his death.
In another incident on the day, a body of a 48-year-old man, who presumably drowned in a pond, was fished out by fire brigade personnel after hours of a search exercise.
The deceased, identified as Ajay Sethi of village Tamulia, had gone to take bath in the nearby pond when he accidently slipped into the water. Locals after failing to locate him had informed the fire brigade.
