In a tragic incident in Madhuban village under the Sosa police station in the district on Saturday, two minor girls drowned while one of their parents was seriously injured in a road mishap while rushing them to a hospital by an auto-rickshaw.
The deceased were identified as Anita and Anisha, both friends. They had gone to a village pond to take bath in the morning. But they slipped into deep water and had their watery grave. Though the girls were rescued from the pond, the auto-rickshaw, by which their parents were taking them to the hospital met with an accident and.
One girl’s mother suffered critical injuries in the mishap.
All of them were rushed to the Anandpur Sub-Division Hospital, where doctors declared both the girls dead.
