Two staffs of the Military Wing of the Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Chandipur have tested positive for Covid-19.
The duo later visited the Command Hospital in Kolkata where their swab samples were collected. After test reports confirmed Covid-19 infection, they were admitted to the Barakpore hospital.
Meanwhile, the Baleswar District Health Officer visited the PXE. Contact tracing was on.
PXE Associate Director HS Panda said the employees have been advised to work from home and stay in isolation.
So far, a total of 190 persons have been tested positive for Covid-19 in Baleswar district.
