The Brahmapur police on Thursday seized two DJ vehicles for flouting the guidelines and playing music beyond the permissible sound limits.
The police swing into action based on complaints received from various citizens that the DJs were playing loud music beyond the permissible hours and using DJ beyond the permissible time,
Two DJ vehicles were seized by BNpur and Gosaninuagaon police and cases under Section 5 Odisha Fire and Loudspeaker Regulation Act have been registered against the vehicle owners, said Brahmapur SP Sarvana Vivek M.
The owner on a vehicle seized by the BNpur police was identified as Jagannath Sahu of Station Road under Golanthara police station and the other DJ seized by Gosaninuagaon police belongs to Gopi Kumar Das of Jagdalpur under the Sadar police station in the city.
