Two persons were killed when a bus collided with a scooter, by which the victims were travelling on National Highway-149 near Bhimakanda Chhak under the Pallahara police station in Angul district on Sunday.
The head-on collision took place between the two vehicles and the duo travelling by the scooter died on the spot after falling from their two-wheeler. Till last reports came in, the deceased were yet to be identified.
Police reached the place on being informed, sent the bodies for postmortem and started an investigation. The driver of the bus fled from the spot after the mishap.
