Two persons died when their motorbike rammed into an electric pole near Uphula under the Biramaharajpur police station in Subarnapur district on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Sambit Pradhan of Kamira village and Sipak Nag of Buthipada village.
According to reports, Sambit and Sipak were on their way towards Birmaharajpur when the mishap took place. Both of them suffered severe injuries. Locals spotted them and informed police.
A Birmaharjpur police team reached the spot and rushed both of them to a hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.
Police sent the bodies for postmortem after registering a case.
