Two labourers died and three others were critically injured after being run over by a sand-laden Hyva truck near the Collector’s office in Khordha on Friday.
The labourers were in a temporary shelter under an under-construction flyover when the driver of a truck lost control and ran over them killing two of them on the spot. All the injured were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
Police reached the spot, seized the truck and sent the dead bodies for postmortem. A probe was also initiated into the incident. The deceased and injured were said to be natives of West Bengal.
