His ripe old age of 110 years didn’t stop Ramaji Sahu from exercising his franchise during the Bijepur by-poll on Monday, setting an example for other voters.
The wheelchair-borne centenarian participated in the polling by casting his vote at the polling station no. 108 at the Sankarsana Government Upper Primary School in Bijepur.
Another centenarian, a woman, Lochana Nayak, also cast her vote at a polling booth at Agalpur in Barpali, part of the Bijepur constituency.
