Two youths who are brothers were arrested by Khariar police in murder case on Tuesday. The arrestees were identified as Ram Nial alias Tarun (31) and his brother Saroj Nial (19) of Sunari Sikuan village under Khariar police station. According to police, Abhimanyu Baitharu was brutally killed by the Nial brothers on September 11 at about 8 am inside village. On the basis of a complaint lodged by one Chaiban Baitharu (42) of Singjhar village under Sinapali PS limit, the murder case was registered in Khariar police. A police team led by SDPO Santak Jena and IIC Kailash Chandra Sethi was investigating the case. The police informed that the complainant had alleged that he received telephonic information from his aunt Malati Baitharu, wife of deceased, that Daya Nial, his brother Ram Nial and two others namely Gola Nial and Basu Nial killed of his uncle Abhimanyu and also assaulted Malati brutally with iron rods and axes. Chaiban had rushed to the spot and shifted the injured aunt to SDH, Khariar.
The investigation disclosed that there was ill feeling between deceased Abhimanyu and family members of Daya. The accused persons were arrested from their hideout in a nearby forest. They were forwarded to judicial custody on Wednesday.
