The two absconding accused persons involved in the sensational doctor couple murder case in Sailashree Vihar area were arrested.
Earlier, the Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police had arrested other three accused, namely Kishore Behera (44) alias Timpa, Md Kamal Khan alias Muna (22), and his wife Mini (36), who were hiding in Brahmapur town for their involvement in the murder case.
With the arrest of Jaban Nayak and his wife Tikina, all the five persons involved in the crime were arrested.
Police said while Jaban was arrested from in Srikakulam, his wife Tikina was held at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Dr RP Shamra said they would seek remand of the Jaban and Tikina to extract truths. In the meantime, the police interrogated Kishore Behera, Md Kamal Khan and his wife Mini during their two-day remand.
The police stated that five persons were directly involved in the ghastly crime and loot was the prime motive behind the murder.
On November 15 morning, retired doctor couple Prafulla Mishra and his wife Sushama Mishra were brutally killed at their Sailashree Vihar residence.
