The first Odia sports documentary film 'The Mountain Hockey' was premiered in Indo-Germany Film Festival at Berlin, Germany, on Friday.
Directed by young talented filmmaker Avinash Pradhan and Debasish Mohapatra, the film encompasses a truly emotional and a struggle-full journey of a hockey teacher.
The film narrates the story of a selfless coach and sports activist Rajendra Kumar Kujur who goes through a lot of hardships to teach hockey to 400 tribal girls taking education in a missionary school in Amlikhaman village situated in a remote area of Odisha.
Without any facilities, they strive hard to hone their skill with zeal and passion for hockey. Producer of the film Raj Kishor Hota has worked in the Bollywood film industry for a decade and also worked with many Bollywood films. He thought of coming to Odisha and doing a film with Odia talents. The film can be seen on MX Player, Disney plus Hotstar and an international OTT called Fearless.
