Even as Bhubaneswar has become the first city in the country to achieve 100-per cent vaccination against Covid-19, administration of the first dose of the vaccine will continue in the city.
No online booking is required to receive the first dose as citizens can walk in to the designated vaccination centres. On the other hand, all 10 drive-in vaccination centres in Bhubaneswar will be closed from Monday (August 2).
Those who took their first dose at any drive-in vaccination centre and missed the second done as per the schedule can receive it at any UPHC/UCHC between 29 and 42 days after the first dose.
The walk-in facility for the second dose will continue in the city. Citizens have been advised to visit the same centre where they took their first dose.
