Bhubaneswar on Wednesday registered a declined number of 197 Covid-19 positive cases. With this, the total tally in the city rose to 1,04,492.
Notably, the capital city had recorded 235 positives on Tuesday.Out of the 197 new cases, 151 were local contacts and 46 were from quarantine.
The local contacts included 10 cases each at Old Town and Nayapalli followed by nine at Chandrasekharpur and eight at Baramunda.The active cases in the city stood at 3,153.
Meanwhile, one more patient succumbed to the disease, with which the total death toll increased to 978 in the city.However, 185 persons recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 1,00,340.
